Mumbai: Kartik Aaryan is playing the role of boxer Muralikant Petkar in his upcoming film Chandu Champion. To do justice to his character, the actor has lost 18 kg in one and a half years. The actor had to go through many difficulties to lose weight, the video of which he has shared on social media. Kartik also wrote that, earlier my mother used to ask me to go to the gym and now the situation is such that she calls me and asks me to come back from the gym.
The actor shared the video and wrote in the caption, 90 kg Freddy and 72 kg Chandu Champion. The most challenging production journey of my career so far is about to begin.
Apart from this video, Karthik has also shared two pictures showing a glimpse of fat to fit. In one of them, he is seen taking a selfie with his stomach. In the second picture, the actor's six pack is visible. He also wrote in the caption, 39 percent body fat to 7 percent body fat chance.
The actor further said that when I signed this role, I did not know that it would be challenging for me. After sweating day and night in the gym, losing weight by swimming and boxing, I became fit for the role of Chandu Champion.
In the film Freddy, Karthik played a 90 kg youth while in the film Chandu Champion, he worked hard to reach 72 kg.
Karthik further explains that from being an insomniac to a fitness enthusiast, this has been my journey of one and a half years. Which I will always remember. The life of the legend Murlikant Petkar has made me a stronger person and has also instilled in me the belief that if you set your eyes on something, it is possible to achieve it.
