Ramoji Film City founder and media mogul Ramoji Rao passes away at 87

Ramoji Rao, the founder of Ramoji Film City, has passed away. He was ill for the last several days. He was undergoing treatment at Star Hospital in Hyderabad. He breathed his last on June 8 at around 3:45 am.

It is being told that after his health deteriorated, he was admitted to the hospital on June 5, where he was undergoing treatment. According to reports, he had a heart problem, for which the doctors had inserted a stent in his heart. He was on a ventilator in the ICU since June 5. His blood pressure had increased, along with this he was also having difficulty in breathing.

His body will be taken to his residence in Ramoji Film City and his last journey will begin from there. His fans and close ones are paying tribute to him on social media.

Ramoji, a renowned media baron and film mogul, had also recovered from a serious illness a few years ago. He had colon cancer several years ago but was completely cured after treatment.

Actor-producer Rohit Nara shared Ramoji's picture on Twitter and wrote, “It's so sad to wake up in the morning to hear such a heartbreaking news. The pride of the Telugu community, Telugu media legend Sri Ramoji Rao garu is no more. His inspiring journey and towering presence have left an indelible mark on our hearts…”

A user named Jagdish has described Ramoji Rao as the most powerful person after the Prime Minister. He has written, “Ramoji Rao, the most powerful person in this country after the Prime Minister, is no more. May his soul rest in peace.”
