NEET-UG 2024: Agency denies paper leak, no malpractice: NTA

The exam paper leak controversy has deepened. In view of this, the Government of India announced to present its side. A press conference was called for this. So know what the government has to say in this matter?

 

 

 

NTA has given a special clarification regarding the scam in the exam. They say that there was no malpractice in the exam. Apart from this, the agency has also denied the paper leak. There have been reports of errors at some centers which NTA has not clarified. The controversy regarding 1600 children and 6 centers still persists. NTA has said in its defense that giving grace marks will not make any difference to the result.

Clarification given in the press conference of the ministry

Out of 24 lakh students, 1563 students have secured grace marks in the NEET exam. There has been no malpractice in the exam across the country. In Sawai Madhopur, students came out with the paper but we gave the exam with another paper that day. The exam was transparent. We want to tell the students that there will be no malpractice in the exam.

Will the NEET exam be conducted again?

When asked in the press conference whether the NEET 2024 exam will be conducted again or not? In response, the Education Secretary said that the committee is investigating, only after that any decision will be taken. But whatever decision will be taken, no student will be harmed by it. However, it was also indicated in the press conference that even if the NEET exam is conducted, it will not be conducted at all the centers. It will be conducted only for 6 centers.

NEET paper has not been leaked

The central government has also reacted to the NEET 2024 paper leak. During the press conference, the Higher Education Secretary said that only in Sawai Madhopur, a case of students walking out of the center with the paper has come to light. At the same time, the examination was stopped there and the examination was conducted again with a new NEET question paper. There was a problem at only 6 centers. At the rest of the places, the NEET exam was conducted without any error. There was no incident of paper leak.

Will NEET 2024 be cancelled?

The Education Secretary has said that 'compensation marks have been given on the basis of the criteria of loss of time. The committee will look into the matter and a decision will be taken on that basis. But the matter is only about 6 centers and 1600 children. Whatever decision is taken, it will be taken for them. Others will not be affected.

The report will come in a week

It was said in the press conference that 'A committee of former UPSC chairman and other educationists has been formed, which will look into the NEET issue. The committee will submit its report within a week. Any decision will be taken after that.
