Symptoms of anemia in children
Many times the symptoms of anemia are not visible for a long time, due to which the problem sometimes increases.
– Fatigue and weakness are the most common symptoms of anemia in children.
– Due to anemia, the immune system becomes weak, due to which children keep falling sick again and again.
– Anxiety and irritability are also seen in children due to anemia.
-They start feeling short of breath after doing even the slightest activity.
-The color of the face and skin becomes yellow and white.
Causes of anemia in children
Anemia is caused by the lack of sufficient amount of red blood cells or hemoglobin in the blood, but many other reasons can also be responsible for it.
Red blood cells are not formed due to lack of adequate amounts of folic acid, vitamin B12 or vitamin C. The risk of anemia also increases in premature and low birth weight infants.
Treatment
– Avoid iron deficiency in children but also avoid overdose.
– Green vegetables, pulses, nuts and seeds, eggs, non-vegetarian food contain good amount of iron, so include these things in the diet of children. This increases red blood cells in the body.
-Make lemon, orange, tangerine, coriander, tomato and strawberry rich in Vitamin C a part of your diet. This enables the body to absorb iron better.
– Anemia can be detected early in high-risk children through screening.
