Air India partners with Delhi Metro and DIAL to facilitate air passengers' check-in

New Delhi, June 04 (HS). Tata-led Air India has partnered with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) to facilitate 'check-in' of air passengers at two metro stations in the capital New Delhi. This service will be available at New Delhi and Shivaji Stadium Metro Station from 7 am to 9 pm.

Air India said in a statement on Tuesday that under this partnership, the luggage of the passengers is safely loaded into the aircraft through the advanced automated system of DMRC and DIAL. The airlines said that this service, currently available for domestic air travel, will now be provided to international passengers as well.

According to the company, you can now avail check-in and baggage drop at Shivaji Stadium and New Delhi Metro stations from 7 am to 9 pm. This service allows you to check-in 12 to 2 hours before domestic flights and 4 to 2 hours before international flights, giving outstation passengers the option to roam the city baggage-free. This collaboration aims to make your travel experience easier and more efficient, taking the metro journey to Terminal 3 of Delhi Airport to less than 20 minutes.

Air India Chief Customer Experience Officer Rajesh Dogra said in a statement that this initiative not only provides an economical option to passengers coming from remote places, but also helps in controlling the crowd at the airport, giving a better experience to all our customers. This initiative will greatly increase the convenience of our customers. Improve your travel experience with seamless check-in at Metro!
