Big decision of the High Court, no temporary employee will be included in the counting

Kolkata, June 03 (HS). There will be no temporary employees on the counting table. The Calcutta High Court has directed the Election Commission to ensure this. On Monday, Justice Amrita Sinha ordered that Anganwadi workers, assistant teachers, civic volunteers or any such temporary employees cannot be placed on the counting center table. Employees should be appointed in the counting center as per the guidelines of the Election Commission.

A case was filed in the High Court alleging that contract workers of Howrah and Bali municipalities have been appointed for counting. This case was filed by Howrah BJP candidate Rathin Chakraborty. The petitioner's lawyer raised the question that temporary employees have been appointed to take full charge of DCRC at the counting center. In that case, the Commission's lawyer said that there will not be a single temporary employee at the counting table. The Election Commission has already given guidelines in this regard. It will be ensured that the instructions are fully followed.

The Commission's lawyer told the High Court that none of the first, second and third polling officers are contract workers. After this, the High Court said that the Commission should ensure that there are no temporary employees at the counting table.
