Kaithal, June 3 (HS). An unknown cyber fraudster lured a woman with Rs 3000 and swindled Rs 77000 from her through Google Pay. In this case, the police of Cyber police station has registered a case of fraud against the unknown person on Monday.
In a complaint lodged in the cyber police station, Kiran, a resident of Karoda, said that she has an account in HDFC Bank located in Pundri. On July 20, 2023, a call came on the mobile number linked to her account. The unknown caller said that he has to give three thousand rupees to her father Kewal Chand. He is sending three thousand rupees to your account. To this, he replied that you send it. After this, a fake message of 30 thousand rupees being credited to her mobile number came. Seeing this message, she thought that 30 thousand rupees have been deposited in her account.
Then the fraud called and said that by mistake 30 thousand rupees have been transferred to your account. He should return 27 thousand rupees to him. One of his acquaintances is admitted in the hospital. By misleading her, he fraudulently got about 77 thousand rupees transferred through Google Pay. Therefore, the unknown fraudster should be searched and legal action should be taken against him. Cyber police station's investigating officer ASI Surendra Singh said that on the complaint of the woman, a case of fraud has been registered against the unknown accused. Further investigation is being done.
