Koderma, June 3 (HS). The decision on who will be the MP of Koderma will be taken on Tuesday. In Koderma, the main contest is between Annapurna Devi of BJP and Vinod Singh of CPI(ML) from the Indy alliance. However, independents Jaiprakash Verma, Ajay Krishna and Manoj Kumar will also influence the election contest and the result, but it will be interesting to see how much impact they will have.
There were 15 candidates in the election fray from Koderma, out of which only half a dozen candidates were seen reaching out to the people during the election campaign. This seat is also in the news because while the BJP has again fielded MP and Union Education Minister Annapurna Devi, Vinod Singh of the CPI(ML) from the alliance raised migration and unemployment as an issue. While the election office is busy preparing for the counting of votes, the supporters and workers of both the candidates are busy preparing for the counting and assessing the results.
In separate meetings of BJP and Indy alliance on Monday, suggestions were given regarding counting of votes and not to leave the tables. Special precautions are also being taken in this regard. More than 12 hundred counting personnel are being deployed for the counting of votes in Gandey by-election and Koderma parliamentary constituency. Counting of votes will start at 7 am. According to the information, counting of votes in Gandey by-election is to be completed in a total of 21 rounds and people will be given information round-wise. Counting of votes in Koderma election will be done in maximum 24 rounds and minimum 23 rounds. Counting of votes in Barkattha and Bagodar assembly constituencies is to be done in 24 rounds. For this, there will be 20-20 tables in Barkattha and Bagodar, while 18 tables will be set up in Koderma, 18 tables in Dhanwar, 18-18 tables in Jamua and Gandey. Counting of postal ballots will be done last. Two halls have been made for postal ballots. There will be 18 tables in one hall and 12 tables in the other. This time, in view of the tough fight in Koderma, no orders for sweets have been placed by any party till now.
If Kalpana Soren wins, change will be seen in politics
Along with the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections, the counting of votes for the Gandey assembly by-election will also take place on June 4 at the market committee in Panchamba, Giridih. According to all the exit polls, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha candidate Kalpana Soren is likely to win the assembly by-election. Kalpana Soren is in direct competition with BJP candidate Dilip Verma.
It is being speculated that if Kalpana Soren wins from here, she can be made the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. Senior party leaders have also indicated this. Kalpana Soren started her political career after Hemant Soren went to jail and also took charge of the party while Hemant Soren was in jail. During the entire Lok Sabha election, she campaigned vigorously in favor of her party candidates and her speaking style impressed people a lot. At the same time, enthusiasm has also been seen about Kalpana Soren, especially in the tribal society. There is every possibility that if Kalpana Soren wins, she will be made the Chief Minister by removing Champai Soren and in the upcoming assembly elections, Kalpana Soren will also be the face of the Chief Minister from JMM.
