Ranchi, June 3 (HS). Chief Election Officer K. Ravi Kumar said that counting of votes for 14 parliamentary constituencies of Jharkhand will be done at 14 centers. All preparations for counting have been completed. Counting of votes will start at 8 am on Tuesday. First of all, postal ballots will be counted. After this, EVM votes will be counted. K. Ravi Kumar was talking to journalists at Nirvachan Sadan, Dhurva on Monday.

If the agent leaves the counting centre campus, he will not be able to go inside again

Ravi Kumar said that as per the rules of the Election Commission of India, no communication device of any kind will be allowed inside the counting centre. If the agents who have gone inside the counting centre leave the counting centre campus even once, they will not be able to go inside again. He said that the weather forecast states that the temperature in Palamu and Chatra is likely to remain around 44 degrees during the counting of votes. Rain is forecast in Kolhan after noon.

Counting of votes will be done in 27 rounds in Chatra-Koderma and 16 rounds in Khunti

Ravi Kumar said that the maximum number of counting of votes will be done in 27 rounds in Chatra and Koderma. The minimum number of counting rounds will be 16 in Khunti. Similarly, the counting of votes will be done in 26 rounds in Godda, 25 in Hazaribagh and Dhanbad, 24 in Dumka and Singhbhum, 23 in Rajmahal, 22 in Palamu, 21 in Jamshedpur, 20 in Ranchi and Lohardaga and 19 in Giridih. 465 tables have been made for counting of postal ballots. Counting of EVM votes will be done on 1429 tables. He said that the counting of votes for Gandey assembly constituency by-election would be done in 24 rounds.
