Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The Election Commission has ordered re-poll in two Lok Sabha seats of West Bengal. Voting has started at 7 am on Monday i.e. today. Voting was held on these two seats under the seventh phase, which the Election Commission cancelled and decided to hold re-poll.
The booth of Barasat constituency of West Bengal is located in Kadambagchi Sardar Para FP School of Deganga Assembly constituency. While Mathurapur booth is located in Kakdwip Assembly constituency. Voting took place at this booth on June 1. But the Election Commission cancelled it.
According to the order of the Election Commission, re-polling will be held here on June 3, i.e. today, from 7 am to 6 pm. Actually, on the basis of the report of election officers, district election officers and concerned inspectors, the Election Commission decided to conduct re-polling. Meanwhile, the BJP has written a letter to the Election Commission demanding re-polling at several polling stations in the Diamond Harbor Lok Sabha seat, where voting was held on June 1.
