Farmers will celebrate Black Day across the country today in protest against the death of youth Shubhakaran Singh on the Khanuri border of Punjab-Haryana. This decision was taken after a 4 and a half hour meeting of the United Kisan Morcha on Thursday. 100 farmer organizations participated in it. It was decided in the meeting that a tractor march would be taken out across the country on 26th February and a Mahapanchayat would be held at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on 14th March.
It was also decided in the meeting that Black Day would be celebrated across the country and black flags would be hoisted in protest against the death of farmer Shubhakaran. On the other hand, Bharatiya Kisan Union of Haryana, which is supporting the farmers' movement, will take the decision today. The meeting will be held under the leadership of farmer leader Gurnam Singh Chaduni. Earlier they had expressed their protest by blocking the road and making it toll free.
Let us tell you that the United Kisan Morcha has formed a 6-member committee to bring back the leaders associated with the previous farmers' movement period, which includes Joginder Ugrahan, Darshanpal, Ravinder Patiala, Balbir Rajewal, Yudhveer and Hanan Maula. Rakesh Tikait, Gurnam Singh Chaduni, Balbir Rajeva, Harinder Singh Lakhewal and other big farmer leaders have kept their distance in this farmers' movement. Leaders of United Kisan Morcha at Shambhu and Khanuri border say that they will not go to Delhi on March 14. They will perform separately.
