The journey from Delhi to Dehradun via Delhi-Meerut Expressway will become expensive from midnight of June 2. The toll will increase from Rs 5 to Rs 10 for four-wheelers and from Rs 45 to Rs 65 for heavy vehicles. Information in this regard has been issued by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the toll management company.
Although there is a provision to increase the toll rate on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway from the beginning of the financial year, but due to the Lok Sabha election code of conduct, it was postponed till June 1. Now from the midnight of June 2, five percent more toll will have to be paid on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway.
Where will I have to pay toll tax?
Till now, people travelling by car from Delhi's Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut and Meerut to Sarai Kale Khan had to pay a toll of Rs 160. Now it will increase to Rs 165. Now while going from Delhi to Meerut, if you get down at Bhojpur, you will have to pay Rs 140 and if you get down at Rasulpur Sikrod, you will have to pay a toll of Rs 110. Monthly pass will be issued at Chhijarsi toll plaza for Rs 340 instead of Rs 330. At the same time, people going to Hapur from NH-9 will have to pay Rs 170 instead of Rs 165 at Chhijarsi toll. Apart from this, toll will be increased by 5 percent at other tolls apart from Eastern Peripheral Expressway.
