Huge quantity of arms and ammunition recovered in Manipur

Imphal, 01 June (HS). The process of recovery of arms and ammunition is continuing in Manipur. In this connection, a huge amount of arms and ammunition was recovered in an operation by joint security forces.

Manipur Police today said that search operations and area domination were carried out by security forces in border and sensitive areas of hill and valley districts.

During the search operation, one 7.62 mm SLR with two magazines, one 12-inch SBBL gun, 10 live rounds of ammunition and one Baofeng radio set were recovered from Khengjang village in Kangpokpi district. The security forces are carrying out raids across the state.
