LPG rate today: The country's oil companies have reduced the prices of LPG gas. OMC has reduced the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 69.50. The new prices have become effective from today. However, there has been no change in the prices of domestic cylinders. Airlines companies have also got a big relief. The price of aircraft fuel has also been reduced in the country. Air travel is expected to be cheaper in this scorching heat.

OMCs have also reduced the prices of aviation fuel. It has come down by Rs 6673.87 per kilolitre. The new prices have become effective from today. Last month it had increased by Rs 749.25. Earlier in April, there was a reduction of about Rs 502.91. While in March the price increased by Rs 624.37.

Giving relief, the government has reduced the unexpected tax Special Additional Excise Duty (SAED) on crude petroleum from Rs 5700 per tonne to Rs 5200 per tonne. The new rates have come into effect from June 1, 2024.

What will be the prices in metro cities
The price of commercial LPG cylinders has fallen for the third consecutive month. The price of commercial cylinders in Delhi has come down by Rs 69.50. Now the cylinder will be available for Rs 1676. In Kolkata, the price has come down by Rs 72 and the cylinder will be available for Rs 1787. In Mumbai, the price has come down by Rs 69.50, now it will be available for Rs 1629. In Chennai, the cylinder has become Rs 1840.50. In Chandigarh, a 19 kg commercial cylinder will be available for Rs 1697. Its new rate in Patna is Rs 1932. In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder has become Rs 1704, while in UP's capital Lucknow, the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder has become Rs 2050.
