Mumbai – Chandigarh Police has arrested three suspects in the firing case at Bollywood's Dabangg star Salman Khan's Bandra residence. It is said that three henchmen of Lawrence Bishnoi gang had helped the shooters.
DSP Uday Pal of the crime branch of Chandigarh police said that Ravinder Singh was picked up from Dadumajra Colony in Chandigarh and Javed Jinda was picked up from Fazilka in Punjab. After questioning these two suspected accused, Karan Kapoor was arrested from Mohali. The local court gave him five days of police custody.
Now there is a possibility that Mumbai Police will take all three into their custody. Important information can be obtained in the case by interrogating them. Police was trying to catch the accused associated with Bishnoi and Lucky Patia gang in Chandigarh since May 18. These three accused were avoiding the police by talking on mobile phones.
Jinja, Bishnoi's batchmate from Bathinda, who collected illegal money, lured the youth of Chandigarh and Punjab to join his network. Chandigarh Police said that six cases are registered against him in Punjab, Rajasthan, Chandigarh. Ravinder, a close associate of Ridha criminal Jinja, helped him in collecting money.
While the third accused Karan Kapoor was running illegal immigration business from his home. He sent many people abroad. On the morning of April 14, two men on a bike opened fire at actor Salman Khan's Bandra residence, Galaxy Apartment. Later, Mumbai Police arrested both the shooters Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta from Matana Madh in Gujarat within 72 hours. The three accused arrested from Chandigarh were in contact with these two shooters.
Mumbai Police also arrested other accused who supplied weapons and financial help to the shooter. One accused was hanged in police custody.
Years ago, the Bishnoi community was angered when Salman Khan hunted a blackbuck during the shooting of a film in Rajasthan. Lawrence Bishnoi had threatened to kill Salman several times over the hunting of the blackbuck.
