Khunti, May 31 (HS). A meeting regarding preparations for vote counting was organized at Birsa College, Khunti on Friday under the chairmanship of Returning Officer, Khunti (ST) Lok Sabha constituency cum Deputy Commissioner Lokesh Mishra. Discussions were held in the meeting regarding preparations for vote counting. During this, different responsibilities were assigned to the concerned officials.
The returning officer said that on the day of counting of votes on June 4, the postal ballot box located at the Collectorate will be opened at 6 am and the box located at Birsa College will be opened at 7 am. The Deputy Commissioner directed the officials that there is a complete ban on carrying any kind of electronic gadget like mobile etc. inside the counting room. Special attention should be paid to this.
After the end of the meeting, the returning officer inspected the counting center located at Birsa College, Khunti. He took stock of the arrangements being made in the counting room and the counting center premises.
On this occasion, Superintendent of Police Aman Kumar, Deputy Development Commissioner Shyam Narayan Ram, Additional Collector Parameshwar Munda, Electoral Registration Officer, Khunti cum Sub-Divisional Officer Aniket Sachan, Land Reforms Deputy Collector, Sub-Divisional Police Officer and other officers were present.
