He said that many fake agents take advantage of the lack of awareness among people who want to go abroad for education, employment or travelling and commit fraud. Due to lack of awareness, people often fall prey to fake travel agents and lose lakhs of rupees. People need to be cautious of such fake travel agents. Before getting a visa to go abroad, get complete information about the agent and take services only from agents recognized by the government.
Varun Dahiya said that people of Haryana and other states have a great desire to go abroad to get education and work. Taking advantage of this desire of the people, fake travel agents attract people through advertisements on websites or social media platforms. When people contact these fake agents after seeing their advertisements, these fake agents deceive people and grab lakhs of rupees from them in the name of getting them jobs abroad or in the name of providing education.
