Weather Updates : The whole of India is facing severe heat at this time. At this time the temperature in Delhi has reached 52.9 degrees Celsius, people are in distress. At the same time, the temperature of Iran has reached 66 degrees Celsius. The ever-increasing heat around the world is breaking temperature records. In July 2022, the temperature in England reached 40 degrees Celsius. Last year i.e. in 2023, a village in China was facing 52 degrees Celsius heat. So in the year 2021, the mercury reached 48.8 degrees in Sicily, Italy.
The earth, air and water are getting warmer
What is happening? The earth is getting hotter. Is the air and water also getting hotter, or is this a temporary problem? There is a lot of confusion about the mercury found in Mungeshpur, Delhi. The Meteorological Department is denying it, but the temperature is continuously rising. How can this be denied? The temperature is 43 degrees Celsius, and it feels like 50 degrees Celsius.
The temperature here is 50 degrees Celsius
Last year in July, the temperature in Iran reached 66 degrees Celsius. So, at present, some areas of Delhi are already witnessing record-breaking temperatures. That is, the temperature in these areas reaches 50 degrees Celsius, and sometimes goes even higher than that.
Iran declares public holiday
In Iran, the mercury reached 66 degrees Celsius, due to which Iran had to declare a public holiday. At the same time, the elderly were advised not to go out. Due to which people die in such heat. So it means it is fatal. The human body cannot bear this temperature. When the temperature rises too much, he has to be admitted to the hospital otherwise his death is certain. Right now we are enduring heat around 45 degrees Celsius, and it will not take much time for the temperature to reach 50 degrees.
Why are heat records being broken?
Many reasons are considered responsible for this. In which the use of petrol and diesel is constantly increasing. Deforestation and the continuous growth of industry. Each of these causes the accumulation of greenhouse gases. Mostly carbon dioxide and methane. Due to which there is heat in the earth's atmosphere. Due to which the average temperature of everything on earth increases. Be it land, water or air. This is causing a change in the weather. Due to these various reasons, incidents of extreme heat i.e. heat waves start occurring.
Temperature in India is still lower than the world average
England's Carbon Brief reported that the earth's temperature has increased by 40 percent between the years 2013 and 2023. And that too is particularly high towards Antarctica. Summer in India is still below the global average temperature. April 2024 was the 11th hottest month in a row. Each month from May 2023 to April 2024 was 1.61 degrees Celsius hotter than the pre-industrial period i.e. 1850-1900.
