Kejriwal government reached SC regarding Delhi's water crisis, demanded additional water from 3 states

The Kejriwal government of Delhi has approached the Supreme Court regarding the water crisis that has arisen in the midst of the scorching heat in Delhi. The Delhi government has filed a petition in the Supreme Court regarding the water problem and has demanded additional water for one month from Haryana, UP and Himachal Pradesh for Delhi.

In view of the growing water crisis, the Delhi government has announced several emergency measures including banning the use of potable water for washing cars and at construction sites. The Aam Aadmi Party-led Delhi government has imposed a fine of Rs 2000 on wastage of water and has formed 200 teams to enforce the fine.

On the other hand, people were seen standing in queues on the footpaths to fill water from tankers at Sanjay Camp in Chanakyapuri and the same situation was seen at Vivekanand Colony in Chanakyapuri when people climbed on the tankers to fill water.

Amid the growing crisis, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to BJP leaders to put aside their political differences and work together to tackle the water crisis in Delhi. Kejriwal posted that in this terrible heat, the demand for water has increased a lot and the water that Delhi used to get from neighboring states has been reduced. That is, the demand has increased and the supply has decreased. We have to find a solution to this together.

He further said that I am seeing that people are opposing us along with BJP. This will not solve the problem. I request everyone with folded hands that instead of doing politics at this time, come together and give relief to the people of Delhi. If BJP talks to its government in Haryana and UP and gives some water to Delhi for a month, then the people of Delhi will appreciate this step of BJP.
