Jagdalpur, May 30 (HS). The victim's family from Bodhghat police station area of the district filed a report that a youth living in Chaukawada village of Nagarnar police station area trapped a minor in his love trap and had physical relations with her, due to which the minor became pregnant. After this, the youth stopped talking to her and absconded. The troubled minor pregnant woman attempted suicide by consuming poison. On the basis of the report of the family, the police arrested the accused Ashish Das on Thursday.
According to the information received from Bodhghat police, accused Ashish Das had physical relations with his minor girlfriend on the pretext of marrying her, due to which the victim became pregnant. When the accused came to know that the victim was pregnant, he stopped meeting and talking to the victim and absconded. The victim, scared of public shame, took contraceptive pills, due to which her health deteriorated. The victim has been admitted to Maharani Hospital for treatment.
