Araria DM gave Rs 15 lakh each as ex-gratia to the families of the deceased Home Guard jawans

Forbesganj/Araria, May 29 (HS). In Araria district, 04 house inspectors deputed for election work died due to various reasons, after which Araria District Election Officer cum District Officer Inayat Khan immediately took cognizance of all the above incidents and also assured all possible help to the family members of the deceased.

In the same sequence, today Araria District Election Officer cum District Officer gave transfer letters regarding the amount of Rs. 15 lakh each approved as ex-gratia grant to the dependents of all the deceased home guards. During this, the District Magistrate expressed condolences to all the deceased home guards.

In the sequence of Lok Sabha Election 2024, after the death of (four) home guards, their dependents (wives) Sunita Devi, Santosh Devi, Rajnivala Devi and Asha Devi respectively, after the approval of ex-gratia grant, Rs 15,00,000/- (fifteen lakhs) per dependent has been paid in their bank account. Senior In-charge Election cum District Public Prosecution Officer Araria, Deputy Election Officer Araria, concerned police officers were present on the occasion.
