The son of the family carried out this incident with an axe. After this, the murderer ended his life by hanging himself.
The reason for the murder is not known, according to information received from sources, a young man from a tribal family killed 8 members of his family including his parents, wife, children and brother with an axe. He also hanged himself. The incident is said to have happened around 2-3 o'clock at night. The police have sealed the entire village. SP from Chhindwara left for the spot.
According to the police, the accused got married on May 21. He first killed his wife, then the accused attacked and killed his parents, 35-year-old brother, 30-year-old sister-in-law, 16-year-old sister, 5-year-old nephew and 4-year-old niece with an axe in his hand. After this, he went to his aunt's house and attacked their lodge. He fled from the spot when people around made noise.
According to the police, the accused was mentally disturbed and after committing the crime, he hanged himself at a short distance from the house and ended his life. The officer said that the reason for the incident is not yet clear and senior officials of the district including the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police have reached the village. The police is investigating the matter.
