Pant said, “My father's dream was that I become a cricketer and I am happy that I was able to fulfill it. When I was in fifth grade, I had decided that I want to become a cricketer. My father gifted me a bat worth Rs 14,000 and my mother was very angry with this.” It is worth noting that Pant scored 446 runs in 13 matches in this IPL with three half-centuries and a strike rate of 155.40.
