Team India Head Coach Update: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has said that it has received about 3400 fake applications for the vacant post of head coach of the Indian cricket team. The last date for applying for the head coach was 27 May. On investigation, BCCI found that applications were received in the fake names of Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, Virender Sehwag, Shahrukh Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni and many other celebrities for the post of head coach of the Indian cricket team. BCCI called them fake.
BCCI invited applications for the head coach of the men's team. Fake applications are nothing new for BCCI, the board has received many fake applications before. BCCI had released an online Google document form for the post of head coach of Team India, under which these fake applications have come. A BCCI source said, 'Since the application process is in the public domain, many people easily filled the form available on the BCCI website. To avoid such problems in future, we may bring some new processes to invite applications.
As coach from 1 July 2024 to December 2027
Whoever becomes the head coach of the Indian cricket team, his tenure will be three and a half years from 1 July 2024 to 31 December 2027. At the same time, whoever will be the head coach of the Indian cricket team will also have a support staff of 14-16 members.
