New Delhi:Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has received a setback from the Supreme Court today in the money laundering case. An immediate hearing on the petition seeking extension of interim bail by 7 days for Chief Minister Kejriwal's medical examination has been refused.
A bench headed by Justice AS Oak heard the case. The bench said that the CJI will take an appropriate decision on listing Chief Minister Kejriwal's plea for extension of interim bail as the verdict in the main case is reserved.
The court asked questions on the petition
The court has also raised questions on the delay in filing the petition. The bench asked Abhishek Singhvi, the lawyer appearing for Chief Minister Kejriwal, why Kejriwal's petition was not mentioned last week when Justice Dutta, the judge of the main bench, was sitting.
