DM held a meeting with the officer, candidate and his representatives regarding the counting of votes

Araria, May 27 (HS). The counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections held in Araria will take place in the premises of Krishi Utpadan Bazar Samiti. The district administration is claiming that all preparations have been made for the same.

In this sequence, a meeting was held on Monday under the chairmanship of District Election Officer -cum- District Officer Inayat Khan with all the district level senior officers and the contesting candidates and their representatives at the control room regarding the pre-preparation of the counting work.

SP Amit Ranjan was also present in the meeting. In the meeting, the representatives present were made aware of all the processes related to the counting of votes by the District Election Officer. Apart from all the points of security arrangements on the date of counting, detailed information was also given regarding the appointment of counting agents. It was told that it would be necessary to have a valid photo identity card to enter the counting place. He said that the counting of votes will be completed as per the guidelines given by the Election Commission. Many necessary guidelines were given to the concerned officer regarding this.

After the meeting, the District Election Officer also took stock of the assembly wise counting hall and barricading of the outer premises, entry gate, vehicle parking, control room etc.
