Ranchi, May 27 (HS). In the case of shooting and killing of DJ Sandeep at Extreme Sports Bar and Grill under Chutia police station area on Sunday night, police have arrested the main accused Abhishek Singh alias Vicky Singh from Alipur police station area of Gaya district of Bihar.
SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha said on Monday that on Sunday night, during eating and drinking at Extreme Sports Bar in Chutia police station area, there was a fight between the bar bouncers and some people. On receiving the information of the fight, the officials of the police station reached the bar. Before the police arrived, all the people except one person had left from there. The police took that one person to Chutia police station.
After this, on Sunday late night at 01.18, the DJ of the bar, Sandeep alias Sandy, was standing in front of the lift outside the bar, at that time an armed person came from the lift to the bar located on the second floor and shot DJ Sandy, who was standing in front of the lift waiting for a taxi. After shooting, the accused came down the stairs. Then he fired at the glass of the bar from below. When the police patrol team reached after hearing the sound of the gunshot, the accused fled from the spot. The police team took the DJ injured in the firing to Rimsey for treatment where DJ Sandeep Pramanik alias Sandy died during treatment. He was a resident of West Bengal.
SSP said that in view of the seriousness of the case, an SIT was formed under the leadership of City SP Rajkumar Mehta. During the investigation, it was found that there was a fight between Abhishek Singh alias Vicky, Shamiruddin, Aayam Anwar, Pratik, Mrityunjay Yadav alias Mithun, Prakash and Prakash's friend and the bouncers of the bar. About two to two and a half hours after the incident, one of those people, who has been identified as Abhishek Singh alias Vicky, came to the bar and shot DJ Sandy. During the search, two arms licenses issued from Assam state in his name were found. Regarding the said arms license, its details were matched with the Deputy Commissioner's arms branch, during the matching, no entry related to the said license was found there. Prima facie, both the licenses appear to be fake. After committing the crime, the car in which Abhishek Singh alias Vicky fled from the scene of the incident has been searched and duly seized by the police. The bar and the car have been examined by FSL. Three of Abhishek Singh alias Vicky's other associates involved in the fight with the bouncer are being questioned – Union Bank of India manager Pratik from Ramgarh, Mo Samiruddin from Edalhatu, Ranchi and Mrityunjay Kumar Yadav from Hotwar, Ranchi.
