Korba, May 27 (HS). The collector has taken cognizance of the complaint of some land-displaced people of village Malgaon regarding less compensation being given for the acquired land under SECL Dipka project. Collector Ajit Vasant has directed the SECL management along with SDM Katghora to investigate and resolve the problem.
While holding a meeting in the Collector's chamber on Monday, Shri Vasant discussed in detail the application given by the villagers. In the presence of SECL management officials, he instructed the SDM and SECL management to evaluate the applications as per rules in a transparent manner by measuring the actual acquired land and prepare the compensation case. Legal and recovery action will be taken if more compensation is given to ineligible persons.
In the meeting, instructions were also given to take legal action against unwanted people who were affecting the coal excavation work in the mine. During this, SECL Dipka Area General Manager Amit Saxena, Additional Collector Dinesh Kumar Nag, Additional SP UBS Chauhan, SDM Katghora Saroj Mahilange were present.
