Bhopal, 22 February (HS). Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla said that by the month of August, Narmada water will come to the fields of Satna district through Bargi Canal. Irrigation facilities in the fields will increase agricultural production and increase the prosperity of the area.
Deputy Chief Minister Shukla was addressing the concluding program of the state level third agricultural science fair at AKS University campus in Satna on Thursday. He said that agriculture is the backbone of the country's development. The country will become prosperous only when the farmer becomes prosperous. The central and state governments are continuously implementing schemes for the welfare and development of farmers. The prosperity of farmers strengthens business. Employment opportunities increase. The Deputy Chief Minister distributed awards to the excellent farmers selected under the Atma Project.
Traditional farming solves many problems
Regional MP Ganesh Singh said that in today's challenging times, traditional farming is the solution to many problems. It is essential to make farmers aware about natural farming. In the Agricultural Science Fair, information about natural, organic and precision farming was provided to the farmers.
