BRS in Telangana has increased the troubles of Congress by alleging a grain scam of Rs 1100 crore

Telangana grain scam : Amid the hustle and bustle of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in the country, the Congress government of Telangana has been accused of a grain scam of Rs 1100 crore. State BRS Working President KT Rama Rao has accused the Congress and demanded an investigation into the Rs 1100 crore scam related to the sale of grain and purchase of high quality rice in the state. He said that a Congress leader is collecting bribes from people of different areas. In this regard, a scam related to the Delhi office and senior leaders has come to light.

The entire process for selling the grains was completed in a single day

In a press conference held at Telangana Bhavan today, Ram Ram said, “The first scam is the tender for sale of 35 lakh tonnes of foodgrains. The second scam is the purchase of 2.2 lakh tonnes of high quality rice for residential welfare hostels. A committee was appointed on January 25, orders were issued on the same day and tenders were also invited. The entire process in one day clearly points to corruption.”

There was an option to buy grains at a higher price, but the tender was passed at a cheaper price

He also said, 'Local rice mill owners were given the option to buy the grain at Rs 2100 per quintal, but the eligibility rules were changed and companies like Kendriya Bhandar LG Industries, Hindustan Company and Nafaq won the tender at Rs 1885 to Rs 2005 per quintal. quintal taken

The price quoted in the tender was lower than the local price

Rama Ram has also alleged a scam of Rs 300 crore in the purchase of 2.2 lakh tonnes of high quality rice for students studying in various welfare hostels. He said that we are afraid why such a big scam in the state did not come to the notice of the Central Government, Food Corporation of India and investigating agencies? He has demanded that if Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is honest then he should get the tenders investigated by a judge. If the Center, MCI and State Governments do not respond then we will take legal action.

The Chief Minister did not give any reaction on the scam

The BRS leader said that despite the scam being exposed 15 days ago, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Civil Supplies Minister M. Uttam Kumar Reddy (N. Uttam Kumar Reddy) have not given any response. He has demanded the state government to cancel the tender immediately. Apart from this, he has also demanded action against the companies involved in the tender and investigation by central agencies like Enforcement Directorate, Central Bureau of Investigation and Vigilance Department.
