There should be a temple in every home and you should serve and worship that temple every day. In Hindu religious texts, some rules have been mentioned regarding the home temple, which are considered necessary to be followed. If these rules are not followed, then this creates Vastu Dosh in the temple and defects also start appearing in worship.
However, there are some things related to the temple about which people are not aware and due to this confusion they make mistakes in the rules. Similarly, you may also not know whether you should install the flag in the temple of your house or not. So let us know from astrologer Radhakant Vats whether it is right or wrong to install the flag in the temple of the house.
- Can Dhaja be installed in the home temple or not?
- There is a tradition of putting a flag on the top of temples which is considered very auspicious. It is said that placing a flag on the top of the temple brings divine energy and removes negative energy.
- Apart from this, hoisting the flag also shows that not only gods and goddesses but all the planets also reside in the temple, but the flag should not be hoisted in the temple of the house. It is considered forbidden.
- The reason behind this is that it is considered wrong to have a dome in the home temple because if the temple has a dome i.e. spire then installing the Kalash on it is considered very important.
- If there is a dome in the home temple then it is not possible to install the Kalash on it because the dome is very small, besides, having a dome in the home temple is also considered inauspicious.
