Dismayed by the ideology of Maoists and influenced by the surrender and rehabilitation policy of the Chhattisgarh government, Naxalites are continuously giving up their guns and returning to the mainstream of society. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has expressed happiness over the surrender of 33 Naxalites in Bijapur district. He has talked about working for the revival of the surrendered Naxalites.
On his social media handle X, he has written that – Disturbed by the ideology of the Maoists and influenced by the surrender and rehabilitation policy of the Chhattisgarh government, it is very pleasing that 33 Maoists of Bijapur district surrendered before the police. Out of these, 3 Maoists have a bounty of Rs 5 lakh each on their heads.
These Maoists who have given up their guns and returned to the mainstream of society are welcome. Our government is ready for their revival. Many congratulations to the police and security forces for this important success.
It is noteworthy that for development in tribal areas, Vishnu Sarkar has started the “Niyad Nellnar Yojana” meaning “Your Good Village” scheme. Through which the government is providing all the basic facilities in the village. Security camps are being opened in Naxal-affected areas, which are working as assistance camps for the villagers. Along with this, Naxalites are also giving up guns after being influenced by the surrender and rehabilitation policy of the government. Let us tell you that among the thirty-three Naxalites who surrendered, 3 Naxalites were carrying a reward of five lakhs each. So far in 2024, 189 Naxalites have been arrested. At the same time, 109 Naxalites have surrendered.
