Both Congress and AAP are corrupt, they are pretending to contest elections together: Chief Minister

Faridkot/Jaipur, May 25 (HS). Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that Punjab is today in the grip of corruption and drug addiction. Industries are migrating from here due to sand mining mafia, drug mafia and criminal gangs. AAP, emerging from Anna Hazare's movement, had talked about fighting against corruption, but today in the elections, corrupt Congress and AAP are fighting elections in Delhi and Punjab in different alliances. The public has recognized this alliance of the two corrupt parties. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party will work to bring back Punjab's glory and take it to new heights.

The Chief Minister was addressing a public meeting in support of BJP candidate Hansraj Hans from Faridkot Lok Sabha constituency in Rampura Phul, Punjab on Saturday. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi started celebrating 26 December as Veer Bal Diwas in memory of the martyrdom of Sahibzadas of Guru Govind Singh. The Prime Minister has done the work of making the Jallianwala Bagh memorial proud again along with inaugurating the Kartarpur Corridor with his lotus hands.

The Chief Minister said that parties like Congress and AAP are opposing granting of citizenship to Sikh brothers and sisters who have taken refuge in India after being persecuted in neighboring countries. Everyone knows the atrocities of the 1984 Sikh riots during the rule of Congress. When Modi ji's government was formed in 2014, he formed SIT and reopened 300 cases and started sending the culprits to jail and for the first time gave Rs 5 lakh to each of the 3,328 victim families.

Sharma appealed to make BJP candidate Hansraj Hans victorious from Faridkot and said that the people of the country have full faith in Modi Ji because under his leadership a big change has come in the country after 2014. Therefore, people will make Modi Ji the Prime Minister of the country for the third time by making BJP candidates win with full majority in this Lok Sabha election.
