Distortion of society, 13 year old minor girl married | Live Updates, Unveiling the Latest India News Trends

Jabalpur, May 25 (HS) The matter of the marriage of a 13-year-old minor girl has come to light in Majhauli police station area. The police have registered a case on the report of the Women and Child Development Department. After the marriage of the girl, the villagers had protested vehemently and had complained to the concerned department as well as the police station by submitting photographs etc. Regarding the case, it is being told that the Dubey family in Bharda Gram Panchayat of Panagar had fixed the marriage of their 13-year-old daughter with a 20-year-old youth from the Choubey family living in Sihora.

The young man's family agreed to this marriage despite knowing the girl's age and then the marriage was solemnized on 15 May at Katav in Majhauli police station area where there is a temple. When protests started after the marriage and the complaint reached the police, the girl's family gave a false statement during interrogation and it was said that a 'katha' was done but the marriage did not take place. After this, the Women and Child Welfare Department also tried its best to suppress this matter, while the laxity of the police regarding this matter was also worth thinking about. Not only this, in this case, Jabalpur's Additional Superintendent of Police Suryakant Sharma had also given a statement that this child marriage has not been confirmed in the report given by the Women and Child Development, but due to the intervention of the media and the protest of the villagers, the police finally had to accept those evidences. It is clearly visible in these evidences presented that the marriage of both has taken place in the temple. In which the minor is sitting in a red wedding dress and the young man sitting next to her is sitting in the guise of a groom.

Whatever may be the case, but even after independence, the distortion of society has not been eradicated. Such people who are still nurturing such bad practices are condemnable in the society. In all these developments, the mistakes made by the responsible people cannot be ignored. For example, the police station in-charge and the women and child development officer revealed the name of the minor on camera in front of the media, which is a crime by law. Now it remains to be seen what action the authorities take on such acts of the responsible people.
