Dispute resolution through compromise increases the public's trust in the system: PDJ

Lohardaga, May 25 (HS). While addressing the mediators in the training program held today for referral judges and mediators, Principal District and Sessions Judge cum Chairman District Legal Services Authority Arvind Kumar Pandey said that dispute resolution by compromise increases the trust of the common people on the system. Lawyers who think that their case ends after settlement by compromise should know that the trust of the common people increases due to getting quick justice after compromise.

Explaining the basic rules of mediation, PDJ Arvind Kumar Pandey said that the mediator should work with patience. Both the parties should be heard separately and in a coordinated manner, only then a conclusion should be reached. Addressing the mediators, panel advocates, and PLVs present in the Dalsa auditorium located in the civil court premises, he said that there is a need to be alert about the increasing accidents caused by motor vehicles.

Earlier, the first district and additional sessions judge Akhilesh Kumar Tiwari explained in detail how the compensation to be given to the dependents of the deceased in case of a motor accident is calculated. DALSA Secretary Rajesh Kumar told that to get compensation in a road accident, an application has to be submitted to the SDM. He presented the details of the work of DALSA before the PDJ.

Chief Justice, Family Court Subhash, First District Judge Akhilesh Kumar Tiwari, Second District Judge Neerja Asri, Senior Civil Judge Archana Kumari, CGM Krishnakant Mishra, DLSA Secretary Rajesh Kumar, Civil Court Registrar Amit Kumar Gupta besides advocates of LADCS, PLVs and mediators were present in the program.
