According to the designated website of IRCTC for helicopter travel to Kedarnath, helicopter booking is currently open from May 10 to June 20 and September 15 to October 31, 2024. Helicopter booking dates and booking information from June 21 to September 14 will be announced later.
How to book a helicopter?
After registering for Char Dham Yatra the pilgrim has to visit the official website of IRCTC (www.heliyatra.irctc.co.in). Click on the registration process and register through the sign up button.
After clicking on Sign In during registration, you will have to provide your details including your name, mobile number, email ID, state name, create password and create account.
Then you have to login. Log in using the registered mobile number and password to log in and fill in the registration details. For example, enter your Chardham Registration Group ID for group bookings and individual registration number for individual bookings.
For slot booking, fill in your date and travel slot time. All passenger details, including their ID card numbers, will need to be entered. After which a one-time password will be sent to your registered mobile number or email for verification.
Book the ticket through online payment process after confirming the booking. You will receive a booking confirmation mail or a link from where you can download the ticket.
If one is booking a helicopter for pilgrims in a group then one has to enter the group ID. A maximum of 2 helicopter tickets can be booked on one group ID. Booking of a maximum of 6 pilgrims per ticket means a maximum of 12 passengers can be booked in the helicopter in two tickets.
