Purnia, May 24 (HS). As the date of counting of votes on June 4 is getting closer, the pace of preparations at the administrative level is also increasing. District Magistrate Kundan Kumar himself is keeping an eye on the preparations of all kinds of security arrangements, drinking water, health training, parking etc. at the counting place.
Many necessary instructions were given in the review meeting related to the preparations for the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha General Elections 2024, held in the office on Friday under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Kundan Kumar regarding the preparations for the counting of votes.
The District Election Officer sought information from the officials present regarding the preparations for the vote counting. The Nodal Officer, Personnel Cell cum Senior Deputy Collector Purnia informed that the first appointment letter for training the workers for vote counting has been issued and the training program for the vote counting workers has been finalized.
The District Officer directed to provide proper training to the counting personnel and to check the training received by them. The Deputy Election Officer Purnia was directed to keep all the counting related forms ready on time. The IT Manager Purnia was ordered to depute personnel and complete the necessary preparations well in advance for uploading all the reports online at the time of counting.
Municipal Commissioner Purnia was also given necessary instructions to ensure cleanliness and availability of drinking water at the counting centre, availability of essential health facilities at the counting centre in view of the heat, barricading at the counting centre and deputation of adequate number of magistrates and police officers.
In this meeting, District Officer Kundan Kumar told all the officers present that in the last phase of the election, everyone has to discharge their responsibilities together so that the election can be conducted successfully.
