The fire caused by the explosion in Amudan Chemical Factory spread to three other nearby companies and they also suffered heavy losses. Not only this, a car dealer's showroom located at a short distance also caught fire, in which about 12 vehicles were burnt to ashes. After the fire incident, fire brigade teams from Kalyan-Dombivali Municipal Corporation, Thane, Ulhasnagar, Navi Mumbai reached the spot, NDRF team also reached the spot.

According to news agency PTI, Maharashtra Industry Minister Uday Samant said the factory where the blast occurred was closed for the past few months and was reopened a few days ago. After the accident, Uday Samant, local MP Shrikant Shinde and MLA Raju Patil visited the spot within the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation area, around 40 km from Mumbai. An eyewitness said the blast was so powerful that it was heard up to 5 km away. Officials said windows of nearby buildings were shattered while several nearby houses were damaged.

CM Shinde announced financial help
Regarding this incident, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that a very unfortunate incident has happened. 8 people have died in this. Many people have been rescued. This was a dangerous explosion, there are red category dangerous units, they will be shifted out. Many people have complained on this basis. CM Shinde said that the culprits of the accident will not be spared. People's lives will not be compromised. The matter will be investigated and strict action will be taken against those responsible. He said that the families of the deceased will be given financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh from the CM Relief Fund.
