PM Modi was seen in full Punjabi style during his first rally in Patiala, said- I have come to seek blessings from the land of Gurus.

Patiala : Saffron turban on the head, Sat Shri Akal and introduction of speech in Punjabi language. Prime Minister of the country Narendra Modi appeared in full Punjabi style during the first rally in Patiala. As soon as the Prime Minister came on the stage with folded hands in turban, slogans of Modi-Modi started coming from the pandal. The Prime Minister said 'Sat Shri Akal' in Punjabi language and said, 'I am fortunate that I got the opportunity to start my Punjab tour from Patiala, the holy place of Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji and the holy place of Shri Kali Mata Ji.'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he has a blood relation with Punjab because one of the five lovers was from Dwarka. He said that the biggest hospital in Jamnagar has been built in the name of Guru Nanak. A grand Gurudwara Sahib dedicated to Guru Nanak Sahib has been built in the desert of Kutch. The Prime Minister said that all this is not for votes but a tribute to the martyrdom of the Gurus. The Prime Minister said that he has spent a lot of time in Punjab as a worker of the Bharatiya Janata Party. One has to walk a lot in the fields and on the roads.

Recalling the old days with Patiala, the Prime Minister said that he always remembers those days, roaming around in Patiala's Barandari Bagh with friends early in the morning and talking to friends at Jodi Bhattian Chowk, all the old memories were refreshed. Narendra Modi said that whenever he comes to Punjab, his love for Punjab increases.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while mentioning the work done by the BJP government for Punjab and Punjabis, said that langar was exempted from tax, which no government had done before. He said that earlier devotees from outside could not offer prasad in Sri Harmandir Sahib, his government relaxed these rules. He said that the martyrdom of the younger Sahibzadas is remembered as Veer Bal Diwas across the country. The sacrifice of Sahibzadas is the biggest inspiration for the country. He said that the states outside Punjab did not know about the martyrdom of Sahibzadas, so their sacrifice was brought to the entire country and the world.

The Prime Minister said that Sikh families in Afghanistan are in trouble. The families and Guru Granth Sahib were brought back to their country safely with full respect. He said that for the development of Punjab, a strong government is needed in the country, so today he has come to seek blessings from Punjab, the land of Gurus.
