– Extensive preparations are being made in the district to conduct elections in a fair and transparent manner: District Election Officer
Jhajjar, 23 May (Hindustan Reporter). Special Police Observer Deepak Mishra, appointed by the Election Commission of India, reviewed the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 in the district through video conferencing and issued important guidelines to ensure elections in a fair and transparent manner. District Election Officer Captain Shakti Singh and DCP Arpit Jain gave detailed information regarding election preparations in the district. After video conferencing, the District Election Officer said that preparations are being made for the Lok Sabha elections in the district as per the schedule of the Election Commission and adherence to the Model Code of Conduct has been completely ensured to conduct fair and peaceful elections.
He said that immediate action is being taken on receipt of complaint of violation of Model Code of Conduct and it is mandatory to resolve the complaints received so far on C-Vigil in just 100 minutes whereas in the district C-Vigil complaints are resolved within 77 minutes. Disposal is being done. He said that deployment has been done in a specially planned manner at critical and vulnerable booths in the district. He said that all preparations have been completed for security at all the polling stations in the jail. Apart from this, security arrangements are also tight regarding the strong room built in Government Nehru PG College and the counting center to be built on June 4. On this occasion, Deputy District Election Officer Sheetal, DMC Parvesh Kadyan, Naib Tehsildar (Elections) Surendra Kumar and other officials were present.
