The Indian stock market started the fourth day of the week with a decline. Both Sensex and Nifty opened in the red. Nifty opened 17.20 points down at 22,580.60 while Sensex opened 37.98 points down at 74,183.08.

There was a dull start to trading in the domestic stock market on the fourth day of the week. There was turmoil in the market in the initial trading session on Thursday. Within a few minutes of trading, the market kept moving between the green mark and the red mark several times. Major stocks like Power Grid Corporation and Sun Pharma fell as much as 5 per cent in the early session.
Position of key stocks in opening session
The situation of major stocks seems to be mixed in the initial session. Shares like SBI, L&T, Asian Paint, IndusInd, Bharti Airtel gained more than 0.50 percent. On the other hand, shares of Power Grid Corporation fell by over 4.50 per cent. Sun Pharma also declined by about 4 percent. JSW Steel was trading with a loss of more than 2 percent.
