A proud moment for Purvanchal and IMS BHU, Prof. Yashasvi Singh became member of UU


Varanasi, 21 May (HS). Dr. Yashasvi Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Urology, IMS BHU has given a proud moment for Purvanchal and IMS BHU. Pro. Singh has been elected as the Council Member of the Youth Organization of Urological Society of India (UU) for the year 2024-25. A total of 8 seats were present across the country and 2 of them were from the Northern Zone Chapter of USI. U is a youth society which was started 4 years ago by Urology Society of India to fulfill the aspirations of young urology doctors and work for their betterment and patients at the grassroots level. This is the first time that someone from Purvanchal region has been selected for this prestigious post.

University Public Relations Officer Prof. According to Rajesh Singh, Dr Yashasvi's selection is a testament to his contribution to the field of urology and his unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare in the region. Dr. Yashasvi graduated in General Surgery from Maulana Azad Medical College and pursued MCh Urology from GMC Guwahati. He is also a MIUC Fellow from KKCC Erode, Tamil Nadu. His area of ​​expertise is Urology. He was also a part of the transplant team in the recent kidney transplant conducted at BHU. He informed that the youth organization of Urological Society of India plays an important role in shaping the future of urology by promoting collaboration, exchange of knowledge and professional development among young urologists across the country.
