Dharamshala, 21 May (Hindustan Reporter). Congress candidate from Kangra-Chamba Lok Sabha constituency and former Union Minister Anand Sharma said that on June 1, the people of Himachal Pradesh, like other states, will vote to save the future of India, the Constitution and their rights.
He said that BJP and PM Modi are insulting the Constitution and mandate of the country by claiming to win 400 seats in this Lok Sabha election. He said that the people of the country have to give the mandate to bring any party or alliance to power, so 400 seats will not be achieved by anyone's claims. Also expressing apprehension, he said that the truth behind BJP's claims of winning 400 seats is that they want to change the Constitution by gaining majority. Therefore, this election will be the last election to save the Constitution, if the people of the country do not save the Constitution then the future of the country's children will be in danger. He said this while addressing street meetings in Surajpur, Malkana, Palakhi and Gangath of Indora assembly constituency of Kangra district on Tuesday.
He claimed that five phases of elections have taken place and the situation is showing that leave alone 400 or 300, they will not be able to cross even 200 seats. He said that during the tenure of Modi government, we should not forget the injustice done to the people of the country, farmers, unemployed youth and common man in the form of demonetization, farmer law, unemployment and inflation.
The Congress candidate said that similarly, the injustice done by the Delhi government to the people of Himachal Pradesh during the natural disaster last year cannot be forgotten. He said that in this disaster, more than 500 people died, 25 thousand houses were destroyed, thousands of people became homeless and property worth billions was damaged, but the Modi government of Delhi did not withdraw even a single rupee from the disaster relief fund. Despite the financial crunch, the government of sensitive Chief Minister of the state Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu provided relief to the affected people of Himachal by making a provision of Rs 4500 crore.
Appealing to the people of Kangra-Chamba to vote, he said that Himachal has been his workplace, he understands this area and he has many development plans in his mind for the development of the area, which will be worked on. He remembered former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his martyrdom day and said that he had sacrificed his life for the country at a young age 33 years ago, which the Modi government is trying to forget. On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Chaudhary Chandra Kumar, MLA Malendra Rajan, District Congress Committee President Vikram Rana, Karan Pathania and many Congress leaders and officials were present.
