Ranchi, May 21 (HS). Taking photographs and videos of a polling booth during Lok Sabha elections is a crime. Photographing of voting compartment is also prohibited. These things were said by the Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand. Ravi Kumar said. He was addressing journalists at Nirvachan Sadan on Tuesday. The Chief Electoral Officer said that during the fifth phase of voting, a case of a person taking photos and videos from a mobile in a polling booth in Hazaribagh and a video being circulated on social media has come to his notice. Action is being taken to register an FIR against the concerned person.

He said that in the fifth phase, regarding the voting held on May 20 in four Chatra, five Koderma and 14 Hazaribagh parliamentary constituencies of Jharkhand, he said that the polling personnel have returned safely after conducting the elections. EVMs have been sealed in the strong room. Security forces have almost arrived. He said that the fifth phase of voting was completely peaceful. He said that the sixth phase of voting is to be held on May 25. Its preparation is also in the final stage. A large number of urban voters will exercise their franchise in the sixth phase of voting. He has appealed to all the voters to reach the polling station with their entire families and exercise their franchise.
