Satna, 21 May (HS). Collector Anurag Verma held a meeting with officials of departments related to wheat procurement in the collector's room on Tuesday and reviewed the procurement work. In the meeting, the Collector gave instructions to the concerned departmental officers to conduct a detailed investigation into the irregularities in the transportation of 3860 quintals of wheat worth about Rs 93 lakh in Jaitmal Baba Women Self-Help Group Karigohi.
The Collector gave instructions to stop the payment of the amount in the accounts of 19 farmers related to the procurement center from April 1, 2024 to May 21, 2024 and to trace the amount transferred from these accounts to other bank accounts and hold those accounts also. . He instructed the manager of Civil Supplies Corporation to give detailed information in this regard and to take strict action against the employees involved in irregularities in wheat procurement work.
The Collector took information about the purchases of wheat, gram, lentils and mustard made so far in all the procurement centers of the district. He also obtained information about payments made to farmers from departmental officials. Additional Collector Swapnil Wankhede, in-charge DSO LR Jangde, Deputy Collector Sumesh Dwivedi, District Manager Nan, LDM Gautam Sharma and related officers were present in the meeting.
