Ranchi, May 21 (HS). Youth have played a big role in improving the voting percentage in the Lok Sabha elections. There has been cooperation from the youth in voter awareness. Under the Voter Awareness Programme, National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers continued to do active awareness work till the polling day. On the day of voting, it is a big responsibility of the people associated with election work including NSS volunteers and aware citizens to make voters aware from every house to vote and bring them to the booth.

These things were said by the Chief Electoral Officer. Ravi Kumar said. He was addressing NSS volunteers and others at the voter awareness closing ceremony and felicitation ceremony cum award distribution program at Aryabhatta Auditorium of Ranchi University, Ranchi on Tuesday. He said that for voter awareness, there is a need to work on registration for registering names in the voter list, ethical voting and sending voters to the polling station on the day of voting. Also said that voting is your right. Be sure to vote and encourage others to vote as well.

Vice Chancellor of Ranchi University, Ranchi, Dr. Ajit Kumar Sinha said that voting is our duty along with our rights. He inspired the NSS volunteers and said that the fruits of your hard work will be visible on the day of voting. Giving examples of this from admit card distribution and examination, he said that cooperating with voters on the day of voting and getting them to vote as much as possible is like getting better marks. Also said that you all are the future of the nation. Understand your duties and discharge them and inspire voters to vote.

Assistant Chief Electoral Officer Devdas Dutta said that youth power has brought awareness among the voters. Try to get all the voters out of their homes on the day of youth voting. All minimum facilities have been provided to the voters at the polling station. He said that the efforts of NSS volunteers will increase the participation of all voters in voting.

NSS Program Coordinator Dr. Brajesh Kumar said that voter awareness campaign was conducted by NSS volunteers to increase the voting percentage. Made voters aware by connecting the public with the campus. Work has also been done to create awareness among voters through various types of competitions. Also appealed to do awareness work till the voting day. Voters were made aware through various competitions and activities including NSS volunteer rally, poster making competition, poetry competition, rangoli competition, mobile rings competition, quiz etc. The volunteers who came first in various competitions were also rewarded.
