Various de-addiction programs organized on International No Smoking Day |Live Updates,Unveiling the Latest India News Trends

Raipur, 21 May (HS). On International No Smoking Day, 31 May 2024, various de-addiction programs will be organized to effectively control the tendency of smoking and tobacco consumption among the general public. The main objective of the programs is to develop public awareness in the society about the ill effects of smoking.

Social Welfare Department officials said that on International No Smoking Day, various programs will be organized in all the districts of the state for de-addiction and people will be made aware. De-addiction programs will be organized from city to village level. In the programmes, the ill effects of tobacco consumption will be discussed and information about its ill effects will be given to the public. Apart from this, information about the ill effects of drug abuse through social media, various competitions for de-addiction, cultural programs related to de-addiction, distribution of de-addiction literature, de-addiction exhibition will also be organised.

In this regard, through the Collectors of all the districts of the state, Chief Municipal Officers and Chief Executive Officers of all the urban bodies and District Panchayats have been requested to make people aware by organizing various programs.
