Akshardham Temple
Akshardham Temple, built by Bochasanwasi Aksharpurushottam Sanstha (BAPS) in Sector 20 of Gandhinagar, is spread over 23 acres. The height of this temple is 32 meters, length is 73 meters and width is 39 meters. 6 thousand metric tons of pink stone from Rajasthan has been used in the construction of this temple. The Akshardham temple, which was inaugurated on 30 October 1992, took 13 years to build. This temple is an excellent example of architecture. Apart from this, the gardens and fountains in the temple premises also attract everyone's attention.
Akshardham Temple remains closed every Monday. While the temple is open from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm. Entry is free.
Located in Adalaj village of Gandhinagar Adaljani Vav Rudibaini Vav is known as Adaljani Vav. Archaeologists are claiming that parts of the Indus Valley Civilization and Harappan Civilization can be found at this site. This dam was constructed in 1498 to prevent water crisis in Adalaj and its surrounding areas. A 50 feet deep water well can be reached with the help of stairs in the garden. While stone carvings and resting seats are placed around the stairs of the well in the form of a gallery. Adaljani Vav can be visited from 9 am to 5:30 pm. For which no fee will have to be paid.
Indroda Park
