Haridwar, 20 May (HS). Devotees created a huge ruckus as registration was not received even today at the Travel Registration Center of the Tourism Department located at Rishikul. During this time, the devotees expressed their anger in front of SDM Ajayveer Singh who reached there and raised slogans against the administration and the government.
Actually, the registration center was to be opened today for offline registration, which was closed since May 15. For this, devotees had reached the registration center since night, but after instructions from above, the registration centers were not opened. Due to which the devotees got upset and created a lot of ruckus.
The crowd surrounded the SDM, District Tourism Officer and other officials who reached the spot and raised slogans. SDM said that due to more devotees arriving at the Dhams than their capacity, registrations have been stopped in the interest of the devotees on higher instructions. Arrangements for registration centers will be made as per further instructions.
It is noteworthy that after closing offline registration on May 15, it was reopened on May 16. After that, instructions were given to keep the registration counter closed on 18th and 19th, but even today due to non-opening of the registration counter, people got angry and created ruckus.
