Cachar (Assam), 20 May (HIST). A smuggler was arrested with 4000 Yaba tablets in Cachar. Police said on Monday that based on a tip-off, an operation was launched in Kalan Market on Sunday night. During the operation a man named Akash Baishamb (Kallen) was captured.
During the search, a total of 4000 Yaba tablets were recovered from his possession. The black market value of the seized tablet is estimated at Rs 1 crore 20 lakh. Later all the recovered drugs were seized along with a motor cycle (AS-11Y-0353) in the presence of witnesses. The accused was brought to the police station for further necessary legal action.
